“Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think that ye have eternal life:
and they are they which testify of me.”
— John 5:39
(Peshitta New Testament, Syriac Aramaic, c. 5th century CE)
We have only one goal:
To give you a Bible you can read that reveals the golden thread of Christ.
Some passages are 'difficult'
Cultural and historical facts can sometimes drive people to think differently of Christ or His followers. Here, we explain where culture or history distorts or cuts through His Word; allowing you to see His golden thread.
When a passage clashes with the God revealed in Jesus, we simply place a small † beside it.
Clicking the † opens a short commentary window for explanation. If you believe there is a verse that needs an explanation, feel free to submit one. This is primarily reserved for the Old Testament as it has significantly more historical issues than the Gospels of Jesus Christ, but both are subject.
We invite you to read slowly, pray often, and let the Spirit of the LORD be your only guide. We are not here to replace Him, reinforce human interpretation or drive anyone away from God. We want to lay everything bare. To an robotic degree, every single researched topic and deep dive has kept Christ as the center, creating a beautifully woven tapestry of Grace.
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.”
— Matthew 11:28–29
(Peshitta New Testament, Syriac Aramaic, c. 5th century CE)
